The Name

Gemm & Garnet takes its name from the world of precious stones. Gems are valued not only for their rarity, but for the craftsmanship that reveals their beauty — selected with intention, shaped with precision, and never treated as ordinary.We approach every piece we create with the same philosophy.

The Origin

Gemm & Garnet was born from the journey of Carolina, a fashion designer who spent several years working in the mass-market lingerie industry. It was there that she discovered her passion for intimate apparel, while also experiencing the limitations of designing within strict cost and production requirements: restricted materials, limited detailing, and decisions shaped by volume rather than possibility.

That experience led to a question that would eventually become the foundation of Gemm & Garnet: what could lingerie become if craftsmanship, construction, and detail were given the freedom to come first?

‍She began imagining pieces created with the attention of an atelier: elevated materials, meticulous finishes, and technical construction designed not only to dress the body, but to enhance the way a woman carries herself. What began as an idea gradually became a clear vision for a lingerie house where quality would never be negotiated and every detail would exist for a reason.

Gemm & Garnet emerged from that vision — designed with a European sensibility and handcrafted in Colombia by a small team of women artisans who understand construction as a craft, not a production line. It brings together two traditions: the refinement of European luxury and the patience of Colombian hands that treat every seam as a decision, never a shortcut.

Founded in 2023, Gemm & Garnet spent its first years quietly refining the techniques, materials, and standards behind its debut collection.

Craftmanship

Gemm & Garnet takes a deliberately slower approach to lingerie construction. Every garment is built through Refined Seam Construction, a method in which each seam is carefully guided and finished by our artisans to create a cleaner silhouette, a more durable structure, and a finish that feels considered rather than mass-made.

It takes more time, and that time can be seen in the result: in the precision of the seams, the way the garment follows the body, and the integrity of its construction.

Materials are chosen with the same intention. Fine laces and premium trims are paired with 24-carat gold-plated hardware, applied by hand, piece by piece. Before leaving our atelier, every garment undergoes individual quality control to ensure that its construction and finish meet the standards of the house.

Each design begins with precision. Lines follow the natural architecture of the body; structure supports, defines, and enhances; and every material is selected for both its aesthetic presence and its role within the garment. The result is lingerie in which construction is not hidden behind beauty, but becomes part of it.

Craftsmanship takes time, and that time cannot be compressed without compromising the standard behind the garment. Our pieces are created deliberately, in small runs, and once a design from a collection sells out, it does not return.
